Bobcat to unveil new line of rotary telehandlers for Europe, other markets

Bobcat, one of the leading manufacturers of compact construction equipment in the United States, continues its innovation in the telehandler realm with its new generation of rotary telehandlers.

The line was developed in collaboration with Italian company Magni TH. It features 10 Stage V compliant models designed for the European market, plus four Stage IIIA models that will be available in the Middle East, Africa, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

These are impressive machines, boasting lifting capacities of four to seven tons and lifting heights of 18 to 39 metres. Bobcat also put a lot of effort and resources into designing the best telehandler cabin to date. Each cabin is fully pressurised and has 100 percent air filtration, enhanced temperature control, an adjustable steering column, large windows and an adjustable seat that’s about as comfortable as an adjustable bed.

As Bobcat telehandler senior product manager Oliver Traccucci explained, the rotary telehandlers represent the latest effort by Bobcat to revolutionise the market, something they’ve been working continuously at since the 1990s.

“Our new rotary telehandler range offers an expanded model selection and increased lifting heights and lifting capacities,” Traccucci said. “The new range offers cutting-edge technology that continues the theme of reinvention that is at the core of our ‘Next is Now’ philosophy.

He added that emphasis was placed on versatility and efficacy, but also comfort and safety. These telehandlers are equipped to tackle the toughest and most delicate of jobs.

“They offer enhanced 360° performance to create the ultimate tools for even the most complex site handling jobs,” Traccucci said. “A big choice of over 20 attachments and various options also ensures that working at height has never been so versatile, efficient, comfortable and safe.”

The European market for telehandlers is expanding considerably, growing by 23 percent in just the past five years. That’s why Bobcat feels comfortable introducing 10 brand new models—there is more than enough demand.

Riccardo Magni, founder and president of Magni TH, called the new range a “force to be reckoned with,” adding:

“For Magni TH this is a further step to grow and consolidate the presence in the global markets and to confirm the leadership in the rotational telehandler segment.”
